Brussels Sprouts with Bourbon and Bacon

Keto camping recipes should be about comfort, and the bourbon and bacon mixed with creamy garlic sauce do just that for this dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb bacon cooked and cut into 1-inch pieces save fat
  • 2 lbs Brussels sprouts trimmed and quartered
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place the bacon on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 F until browned.
  • With a fork, lift bacon and transfer to paper towels to cool.
  • When cooled, cut into one-inch pieces or your size preference.
  • Pour bacon fat into a heated skillet and add sprouts.
  • Stir occasionally until tender (about 10 min).
  • Add garlic, and stir for 1 minute.
  • Add bourbon and cook for 1 minute.
  • Stir in cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Sprinkle with bacon and serve.
